Mardi Gras Omelet
Speaking of starting the morning off on the right foot, you can never go wrong with brunch at Another Broken Egg. One of our favorite breakfast dishes is the Mardi Gras Omelet. This savory omelet is served all year long, filled with crawfish, shrimp, andouille sausage, and red peppers and topped with tomato hollandaise, green onions, and tomatoes. The perfect Mardi Gras food for breakfast, it offers a taste of Louisiana cuisine while at the beach.
Kreweser Amber Ale
If you prefer brews to cocktails, pay a visit to Big Beach Brewing. Offered just during Mardi Gras, Big Beach crafts a Kreweser amber ale, a slightly malty ale found only at the brewery. Try it on tap and enjoy some tunes from the stage, or pick up a can or two from the fridge and take it to go.
King Cake Daiquiri
You can’t celebrate Mardi Gras without having a daiquiri or a daiquiri flight. High Tide Daiquiris & Mimosas serves an irresistible gold and purple King Cake Daiquiri topped with edible gold glitter. This family-friendly spot serves mocktails, so those under 21 can enjoy this frozen drink, too. If you’re craving a little caffeine, you’ll also find a king cake iced coffee on the menu.
Seafood Gumbo
End the season with a warm bowl of seafood gumbo and festive soiree at LuLu’s. Each year, this popular restaurant hosts its annual Mardi Gras celebration with a big party and boat parade on Fat Tuesday. You can order LuLu’s delicious gumbo anytime, but what better time to enjoy this coastal delicacy than at a Mardi Gras party?
